This a delicious shake that I’ve been having almost daily for the past 3 years.  It is a good combination of greens, healthy fats, and added protein for your nutritional needs.  Although it may sound gross, it does taste rather good.

Ingredients:

-1 scoop of vanilla protein powder ( I prefer Allmax Nutrition Allwhey Vanilla )

-200 mls of original unsweetened almond milk (vanilla unsweetened milk is fine too)

-1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter

– approximately 2 handfuls of spinach

– handful of ice

Directions :

1.  Place almond milk, scoop of whey protein powder, tablespoon of natural peanut butter, 2 handfuls of spinach, and handful of ice all in your blender. ( I use the Hamilton Beach 51101BA Personal Blender with Travel Lid, Black)

2.  Blend for about 30-45 seconds, or until spinach is liquefied.

3.  Enjoy!

Tips:

-When buying a vanilla protein powder, make sure you read the label.  Some protein powders are GARBAGE!  I one I am using in the above pic is only 120 calories, has 3 total grams of crabs with only 1 gram of sugar, and 25 grams on protein per scoop.  ALWAYS opt for low sugar protein powders.

-Be VERY careful when buying peanut butter.  Peanuts should be the only ingredient(some may have a mild touch of salt).  A lot of “healthy” peanut butters are basically hydrogenated oil and sugar.
