This is a delicious mid morning/afternoon snack.  In fact, you can even have it for breakfast if you wish.  This dish contains approximately 30 grams of protein and healthy antioxidants from the fruit.  Along with being tasty, this dish is also very filling and low in calories.

Ingredients:

berryparf

-1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I prefer Allmax Nutrition Allwhey Vanilla )

-175ml/3/4 cup of greek yogurt

-small mixed berry salad/ 1/2 cup of mixed berries

-approximately 1/8 cup of oatmeal

Directions:

1.  In a bowl add the greek yogurt and 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder and mix thoroughly.

Tips:

-When buying a vanilla protein powder, make sure you read the label.  Some protein powders are GARBAGE! I one I am using in the above pic is only 120 calories, has 3 total grams of grabs with only 1 gram of sugar, and 25 grams on protein per scoop. ALWAYS opt for low sugar protein powders.

-When choosing a greek yogurt, stick to ones that ONLY have skim milk and bacterial cultures listed as the ingredients. The flavoured greek yogurts are loaded with sugar.

-For the mixed berries, use REAL berries. You can thaw out frozen berries, however they tend to be quite soggy.  I prefer fresh berries.

-Be VERY careful about the kind of oatmeal you use. Go for ones that  ONLY  have “oats” as the ingredient. Some packs of instant oatmeal are loaded with sugar.
