This is the exact shake I have immediately following each workout. It’s delicious and comes out as rather creamy.
-1 scoop of protein powder ( I prefer to use Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard)
-200 mls of original unsweetened almond milk (vanilla unsweetened milk is fine too)
-medium sized banana
1. Peel a medium sized banana and cut into thin slices as shown below. After you cut the banana in slices, put it in a sealed bag, and place it in the freezer. Cutting the banana into thin slices will help extend your blender’s life.
2. Place almond milk, protein powder, and bag of frozen banana slices into the blender.
3. Blend for about 30-45 seconds, or until banana slices are liquefied.
-When buying a protein powder(whatever flavor you chose), make sure you read the label. Some protein powders are GARBAGE! The one I am using in the above pic is only 120 calories, has 3 total grams of carbs, 2 grams of sugar, and 24 grams on protein per scoop. ALWAYS opt for low sugar protein powders.
