This is a great recipe for those craving something more on the sweet side without wanting to bulge up their waistline. It’s low in calories, delicious, and very satisfying. It can work well as breakfast, a mid morning/afternoon snack. It also works great as a pre-workout meal to give you tons of energy.

Ingredients:

-1 medium sized apple (any kind is fine)

-175ml/3/4 cup of greek yogurt

-cinnamon

-1 tablespoon of Stevia  (this is optional)

-approximately 1/8 cup of oatmeal

Directions: 

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While waiting for the oven to heat up, wash and cut apple into slices.

2.  Place sliced apples into a bag, add in cinnamon, and shake the bag so the cinnamon get evenly distributed onto the apples. Feel free to add as much cinnamon as you wish. Upon completion, place apples on a baking sheet with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.

3.  This step is optional, but I prefer to mix in a tablespoon of Stevia with my 3/4 cup of greek yogurt while my apples are baking.

4.  Remove apples from oven, place in yogurt, add in 1/8 cup of oatmeal, and ENJOY!

Tips: 

-Be VERY careful about the kind of oatmeal you use. Go for ones that  ONLY  have “oats” as the ingredient. Some packs of instant oatmeal are loaded with sugar.

-When choosing a greek yogurt, stick to ones that ONLY have skim milk and bacterial cultures listed as the ingredients. The flavored greek yogurts are loaded with sugar.

-Use Steveia as a sweetener as opposed to brown sugar or white sugar as Stevia is a natural sweetener.
